Yesterday
afternoon I revisited Arlington National Cemetery. During this visit, I
posted as a "mystery tourist" and I have to say that our nation is
truly fortunate to have this amazing memorial in our country. The grounds
are pristine and my visit was incredible. It was a bit crowded, but manageable. I visited the tomb of
the unknown soldiers and watched the changing of the guard ceremony. My entire experience was wonderful. I found the visitors’ information center to
be very welcoming and the staff very knowledgeable. This memorial commands the respect of the
nation and the way its grounds are kept demonstrate the seriousness and
solitude of the memorial. It is amazing
to be at such a serene place with so much history. The entire experience of this visit for me
was outstanding. It is a quiet place in the
middle of a busy city. It allows one to
reflect and be thankful for our nation and the people who have made this
country what it is today through hard work, dedication and sacrifice.
